The Best of All Possible mobilereading Worlds?
What do you think comprises the best of all possible mobilereading worlds?
Maybe, Amazon opens Kindle to all ebook standards (like epub, etc). Or, the dream e-reader is finally invented. Or, Sony makes a better bookstore. Or, totally open, DRM-free, single format e-books that work on all devices. Or, whatever. Dean |

This. Isn't that basically what MP3 is for the music world? A DRM-free format that's usable in all modern audio players. Granted, it's not really an open standard. Yes, it's a standard, just not an open one (at least when it first became popular, no idea if it still is now).
