From MS Word to Mobi

What is the best way to go from MS Word to Mobi? I saw that with Calibre I may have to convert the Word file to HTML. BUt if it has pictures in the Word file or HTML will the pictures be distorted upon conversion? thanks!

Well i was reading the post here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=111212 about TOC in Mobi and it was recommended that i try ePub first. So i guess the same question about pictures being converted being distorted in ePub and then Mobi.

for what it's worth, Mobipocket Creator can import MS Word documents directly. But I think you must also have Word installed.

I don't know about pictures within the document.
