I wouldn't be surprised to see 2.1 released to the Note, Note+, Max... etc. I guess we'll know for sure in a few weeks.

1.9.1 in N96Ml Carta + works fine...but not as smooth as 1.8.2... the empty page for taking notes next to the PDF page is a good tool, but need improvement. The zoom options are very limited. I'll like to have a button in the system bar, to switch between recent apps. That could be good for an update... Also, a complete text editor, something like open office

You always have to be wary of anything posted on that website. That's not to say that they don't occasionally get things right. They do. But there have been numerous instances of misinformation and sometimes outright fabrications in what they write.

For example, in that article, they say that "the Note Pro will be available in a few months."

As it happens, I just got an email from the ereader.store in Germany, and mine has just shipped. If all goes smoothly at customs, I should have it by the end of the week.

Of course, Good e-Reader probably doesn't want you to know that it is available now elsewhere because they are probably hoping that people will eventually purchase it from them.

The Chinese version of the 2.1 firmware for Note has been released. The English version should not be far away.

1. Optimize UI;
2. Simplify the note-taking operation. Now allow writing directly by
stylus and turn pages or menu by fingers;
3. Improve PDF saving speed;
4. Add color writing to PDF functions, including black, white, red,
blue and green(visible after exporting to PC)
5. Sidenote now is associated with documents instead of pages.
6. Add word contrast setting.
7. Add touch area custom function(the screen is divided into 9
areas, everyone can be customized except for the central menu) ;

Note:
1. Optimize the UI of note management;
2. Add handwriting recognition function(Internet connection required
at the first time);
3. Add color writing to PDF functions, including black, white, red,
blue and green(visible after exporting to PC)
4. Add template download from cloud;
5. Allow turning pages by fingers;
6. Now automatically add a new page when to turn after the last page.

System:
1. Add directory pattern to the library, display files by storage
directory(only display files in the specified folder);
2. The default language of the handwriting recognition function is
English. Need to download packages for other languages;
3. Add assistive touch for settings;
4. Allow to change settings for optimization while using
apps(assistive touch required);
5. Add functions of app background and font color optimization.

Regarding the side note being associated with documents instead of a page - does that mean you can turn a page in the book without turning the page in your side note and vice versa?
