Open Road Media Back-To-School Sale $.99-$4.99 Through 9/13
See link at their website for books and descriptions:
http://www.openroadmedia.com/blog/20...iterature.aspx There are also children's books: Children's Some Open Road links for Amazon and B&N, but I would just click on the bookstore links at the website to compare prices as there is a wide variation on some of them: Amazon B&N Starts in middle of page. Amazon, B&N, Apple, Kobo and Sony are listed, but I would imagine BooksOnBoard will participate, too. Last edited by NightBird; 09-06-2011 at 10:49 PM. |

Unknown to you, but not unknown: Andre Dubus, Stanley Elkin, Mary Glickman, Terry Southern, William Styron. All huge names.
Open Road specializes in bringing back into print "classics" in literature (but not public domain). If you can't afford them, of course, you can most likely get them at any library (in print, if not as an ebook, although I'm seeing more Open Road titles at our library). |

Btw, only the children's titles are $0.99+, the adult titles are all supposed to be $3.99+. I am seeing $4.99 on the ones I checked.

Thanks - I figured that but didn't check them all.
I think $3.99 is just their price, and of course since they are not agency the retailers are free to charge what they want. Some of the titles at B&N were $3.19. Interestingly, I reported one to Amazon that they were still showing at $4.99 that B&N had at $3.99, but they only reduced it to $4.74, which was the price at Sony. I am waiting to see what they will do with the others. I did get Sin by Josephine Hart for $3.19 at B&N. I'm waiting to see if Giovanni's Gift by Bradford Morrow, Set This House on Fire by William Styron and The Murderer Next Door by Rafael Yglesias come down in price. |

Yes, Amazon and B&N have some on sale that aren't part of the official sale.
Amazon also has Erskine Caldwell's Tobacco Road for $4.74. |
