Thanks boris, I just ordered my eDGe yesterday and I was hoping to be able to line up a bigger pen or two to try with it after I have played around with it. Unfortunately finding somewhere to buy a nice, compatible pen that will actually ship to Canada might be harder than I initially thought. I may have to venture to eBay for this one.....

The reason I said that is the fact that none of those sites (or any others I've found) have them in stock, which means it may take forever to eventually get it. I'd prefer to order from someplace that has it in stock, and can ship it right away.

Just purchased one of the Penable Pens from Amazon. If you plan on using the journal or annotations a lot I think it is a must. Much more accurate and ergonomic.
$25 for some plastic a complete rip-off but no one has found any alternatives. |

I apologize if I missed this somehwere in the thread, but does anyone know if these cool, new Wacom Bamboo pens work with the eDGe?

I took my eDGe to the store and tested it before buying any pens (returning merchandise here is almost impossible). The Bamboo pens that I tested (about 4 or 5 different ones, all intended for WACOM graphics tablets)....do NOT work with the eDGe.

I have tried Bamboo pens, and they do NOT work on eInk side.

I have a Motion LE1600 stylus that is a good size and works perfectly on the eDGe. Pricey from the manufacturer website ($35 from Motion Computing Store) but you can find them on ebay, etc.

Yeah, the LE-series stylus (someone previously posted the link) is a sharp little number. The M-series pen looks pretty much like the other generic pens people mentioned - straight, stick-like, but at least full-sized. The LE series pen looks like a dream to use. I have a PhD pen/pencil/stylus (just a reg. plastic stylus, for touch screen devices) and it's soooo nice. It obviously won't work on the e-ink side, but it does make me think that the $35 LE-series stylus would be worth it.

The pens for the Lenovo tablet computers are also "penabled" and work well. For some people, these may be easier to acquire than others.

I ordered one of the Motion Digitizer pens and received it today. It is like night and day when comparing it to stylus that comes with the edge, and even with Wacom penabled stylus from Amazon. The writing experience is so smooth and the tip seems more rounded/less sharp. Well worth $.

A little while ago I got to borrow a nicer pen from my boss when I had forgotten mine at home. I was surprised how big a writing difference I had with using just a larger pen. It was very nice. I am going to have to look into getting a nicer one like you guys have.

I have big hands with thick fingers and I am considering buying a larger stylus than the eDGe's OEM. |
