Rest in peace, Gene Wolfe.
I was sad to hear that Gene Wolfe died on Sunday.
He wrote some amazing books, perhaps best known for The Book of the New Sun, but also The Fifth Head of Cerberus, Soldier of the Mist, The Wizard Knight and many others. I first read some of his work about twenty years ago, but picked him up again about five years ago when Tor released most of his backlist as ebooks. They are not always the easiest books to read, but I've found the ones I've read so far to be very memorable, and often find myself thinking about them long after I finish reading.
