epub -> pdf element push over
Good day,
we do epub book injection that involve conversion to pdf using ebook_convert utility. Here is an example of a document that has fix width defined in stylesheet.css (at line 572). which cause issues during conversion since padding and margin pushes element over. (see truncated text). are there options in ebook_convert to overcome that behavior? I understand we could modify the content but if there are other ways to do so it would be simpler. I include the epub and the resulting pdf. thanks, MarcM |

You really should not be using absolute widths in reflowable documents. In any case if you want to override CSS in the document during conversion, use the --extra-css conversion option. In this case it would be something like
--extra-css '.chapter { width: auto !important}' |
