Mit dem Kindle in Deutschland surfen
Hallo, ich hab neulich gelesen, dass man mit einer britischen Adresse, die man bei borderlinx.com bekommt und dem anschließenden Registrieren des Kindles im britischen Kindle Store (natürlich mit vorheriger Anmeldung bei amazon.co.uk) ganz normal mit dem Kindle im Internet surfen kann.
Hat das schonmal jemand probiert? Und klappt es denn? |

Das geht auch mit dem US-Kindle in Deutschland, allerdings nur für eine kleine Weile dann dreht Dir Amazon den Saft ab, bzw. Du bekommst eine Mail mit der Aufforderung dich mit dem Kundensupport in Verbindung zu setzen. Amerikaner können mit ihrem Kindle auch in Deutschland frei surfen aber nur für ein paar Wochen.

Ja, ich hab jetzt auch rausgefunden, dass Amazon das mitkriegt und zum Teil saftige Nachzahlungen für das unerlaubte Surfen verlangt.
Fazit: Lieber bis zum Deutschlandstart des Kindle warten. Bis dahin komm ich auch ohne surfen klar. |

Schnell was bei Wikipedia nachschlagen ohne das Gerät wechseln zu müssen ist schon cool. Aber auf Dauer eignet sich so ein Reader natürlich nicht zum surfen.

Mit aktiviertem W-Lan lässt sich auch jetzt schon prima mit dem Kindel 3 surfen. Im 3G -Netz ist der Zugang halt beschränkt, was ich angesichts des kostenlosen 3G Zugangs auch verstehen kann. Alternative wäre wohl eine Surf-Flatrate für den Kindle. Im Ausland können jedoch auch Deutsche mit dem Kindle über 3G surfen. So habe ich in Taiwan und in Hong Kong meine Emails über das lokale Mobilfunknetz mit UMTS abrufen können. Das fand ich schon sehr angenehm. Mit den 3G Surf-Beschränkungen hier in Deutschland kann ich leben. Der Kindle ist halt kein IPad, und das sollte er aus meiner Sicht auch nicht werden.

Ach was das ist Unsinn.
Mein Bruderhat schon seit 6 Monaten den Kindle Standort in die USA verlegt. Ich habe das heute ausprobiert. In der "Notice" von Amazon die man bekommt steht eindeutig: There is no charge to use Whispernet 3G wireless outside the U.S. to receive books receive single periodical issues, access archived items, browse the Kindle store, or use the experimental web browser. Weiter oben wird beschrieben dass für Magazine, Zeitungen und Periodicals eine Gebühr von 4,99 USD verlangt wird. Wer also nur seine eBooks saugt oder surft und keine "Abonnements" darauf laufen lässt zahlt die 5 Dollar auch nicht. Ich hätte vorher eine genauere Recherche erwartet bevor man hier (unwissentlich?) die Unwahrheit erzählt. Last edited by joblack; 02-03-2011 at 06:30 PM. |

Mein Kindle DX läuft seit über einem Jahr erfolgreich mit einem US-Account, einfach eine gültige, physische US-Adresse angegeben und als Occupation "US Army personnel abroad" eingegeben.
Die $4,99 für Abos pro Woche fallen nur an, wenn man definitiv einstellt, dass man eine automatische Lieferung auch im Ausland über Whispernet wünscht. Wenn man die Zeitungen/Blogs stattdessen manuell über "Archived Items" runterläd kostet das nichts extra, steht auch genau so in dem Dokument, welches Amazon automatisch auf den Kindle sendet, sobald man ein Abo abgeschlossen hat. |
