Same problem...and I LOVE MY GOODREADS PLUGIN like a 3rd child...hopefully someone can figure this out! It's way above my level!

Until this gets corrected I simply run two passes. The first pass Google gets the ISBN the second pass the Goodreads plugin uses the ISBN and supplies the Goodreads ID and Tags.

Attached is a beta that should fix the recent problems with the plugin. There was a small change on the search results page. I have done some quick tests and the changes seem to work.

Please tell me if it fixes it for everyone else.

Edit:

Woops. I uploaded the wrong plugin and didn't notice.

I've removed that and attached the correct one. Please try again.

The only way I have gotten it to work is if I manually go and look up the Goodreads ID

Thanks for the update! is there something that needs to be changed with the FRATING plugin to make that work again? ( @Davidfor, I think you created that one too?).

Sorry, not one of my plugins. But, the GoodreadsX plugin has the same problem. I would suggest posting in the plugins thread that there is a problem and point to the fixed plugin here. The author is usually reasonable quick to respond.

If you want to do the fix yourself, open the zip file and edit the file __init_.py. Find the line that looks like:

authors = first_result[0].xpath('./span[@itemprop="author"]/a/span')[0].text_content().strip().split(',')

and change it to:

authors = first_result[0].xpath('./span[@itemprop="author"]/div/a/span')[0].text_content().strip().split(',')

The bit in red is what needs to be added.

Version 1.1.14 of the plugin has been released. This is to fix the problem caused by the change in the Goodreads search page. The update will be offered calibre for updating in the next hour or so.

I'm having a weird result with 1 book.

Everytime I get the info from Goodreads it sets the Series info to the title and does not fill out the actual series information. As far as I can determine the info on Goodreads is correct.
