The What Is The Name Of This Book Thread
Open-ended in case another questions comes up in the future, the thread can be reused
 Two boys, one a Rabbi's son, the other the son of a teacher, both Jewish, learn about each other and at the ends their fates intertwine. VERY famous book. Was made into a movie. Thanks!

This sounds like The Chosen by Chaim Potok. The sequel, with the same main characters, is The Promise. (I don't remember the movie though.)

That's it, thank you!! Read The Chosen and wanted to own it on ebook form, didn't know there was a sequel. Will have to hunt it down
