New Humble Bundle is up, and it's for:
Humble Comics Bundle Dark Horse 30th Anniversary, containing a variety of titles from throughout the publisher's history. There's popular superhero titles like Ghost and Empowered, fantasy titles like Conan, mystery/horror titles like Crime Does Not Pay and Cut, espionage comedy titles like Peter David's Spy Boy, non-espionage comedy titles like Milk & Cheese, tie-in franchise like the Predator movies, and more. A couple of these have been offered in previous bundles in the past (IIRC the particular volume of Usagi Yojimbo, an excellent anthropomorphic Japanese historical adventure starring a samurai rabbit) was in one of those kids' reading/back to school bundles, but overall much of it looks new. Fixed tiers at $1 miminum, $8 middle (more titles added next week), and $15 top-tier. This is an auto-buy for me. Quote:

Great bundle, I highly recommend it. I'll skip it, as I own almost everything Dark Horse has put out already.

Two Digital Firsts are newly free at Comixology:
Caliber Rounds #5 Caliber Rounds #5 presents an inside look at Caliber's anthologies with a focus on two horror anthologies, Danny Boyd's Chillers and E. Mayem Briem's Horror City. Chillers are all new stories centered around the theme of the Chillers feature film movie released by legendary Troma Films. While Horror City features gripping short stories from a team of international artists and writers. Both feature a complete story in this issue as a bonus. Plus, a look at other anthologies such as Night Pieces and Midnight Mortuary and a glance at the upcoming Calibrations publication. And finally a look at The History of Caliber Comics continues. Trespasser: Epilogue Were the right choices made that night? The story of Hector and his daughter Maria comes to a close... for now. |

Groupees has a new Dynamite Bundle up:
Pure Dynamite Bundle which has a lot of repeats, but also some new stuff. Interestingly enough, it has a $0 tier with some preview comics, which are presumably just partial issue samplers. Anyway, $1, $5, and $15 tiers with set contents (and you can bump up your pledge later just like with Humble Bundle). $25 and above tiers with random selections and physical merchandise. Titles include Pathfinder, Vampirella, Bob's Burgers, Swords of Sorrow, The Twilight Zone, and more. There's a full graphic novel of indie writer Amanda Hocking's The Hollows at the $1 tier. |

Oh yeah, it's Batman Day. Should be freebies at your LCBSs and Barnes & Noble.

Disclaimer, I don't read comics at all, so if some of these are long-term freebies or otherwise not very interesting, I apologize. I was looking at the Nook Daily Find this morning, and noticed that buried deep at the bottom of the announcement for today is a free Batman comic: Batman #1: Batman Day Special Edition (2016) . It's a "NOOK Comic with Zoom View", by Tom King and David Finch. Link is: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/batm...=2940153281230 Also, the entire Nook Daily Find today is various other Batman comics on sale. As I mentioned, I don't read or follow comics, so have no idea if these are good prices or not, but here's the link to the whole list: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/b/spec...-find/_/N-1hda And buried in that list there is another freebie: Detective Comics (1937-2011) #27 by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. Individual link for that is: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dete...=2940045884525 Last edited by sufue; 09-17-2016 at 10:06 AM. |

X-link to the DRM-free thread for the new Humble Bundle:
Humble Book Bundle Forbidden Books supporting Banned Books Week contains mainly graphic novels, and a few non-fiction works, some of which are related to comics/animation, including something about a Disney lawsuit and something else about the founder of MAD Magazine. A few in this are repeats from previous HB, but there's a lot of good new stuff, including a 2016 Eisner Award winner. |
