Hi! this is just to signal that my Avast antivirus (Program Version 18.5.2342, virus definition 180724-0) identified calibre-parallel.exe from v. 3.28 as a threat (IDP.Generic).

Great! Now I know that Avast antivirus is bad! I will never buy it and I suggest you complain and try to get your money back.

Avast is shit believe me it detects every program that doesn't allow access permissions as a threat read yourself about avast.

The problem is that users need to learn understanding and manage their applications instead of all time reporting the same "problem". It took only little personal time to learn and understand what to do. Just only google.

Hello ALL, I verified that indeed is a false positive. File size reported by https://calibre-ebook.com/download_windows is the same as downloaded. I think Elenax is correct.
