I just discovered that the new mobile YouTube page no longer allows one to reply to an existing comment. What the flying **** google?! You can't do it in the app either... At least in iOS. (is this an Android exclusive feature? If so, that is a really idiotic thing to hold back for your own platform.)

There might be something to do with Google+.
On Android you can't rate apps anymore without logging into g+. Maybe its similar with tube now... Last edited by Freeshadow; 02-15-2013 at 03:12 AM. Reason: pushed send instead of enter |

Rant Mode: ON
People on cruise ships who don't get where they planned, but are not in danger is NOT a catastrophe. It is NOT a nightmare that the the world should feel sorry about. Children starving is a disaster. People dieing in plane crashes is a nightmare. I do feel sorry for people who spend thousands of dollars to take a cruise and don't get their money's worth, it IS sad, but if you can afford to take a cruise, you can afford to take a loss. The world won't come to an end. Next time, spend the money to feed some starving kids. The kids LIVE a real nightmare every day. Even if they can't eat at the giant buffet table on the cruise ship, I'll bet they appreciate the rice and beans, even though it won't make headline news. If it's any consolation Stitchy, I saw a news report that the bus chartered to "rescue" the passengers once they had landed ..... you guessed it .... broke down! Oh the humanity!

Just when I think it doesn't get any more ridiculous...
"The first lawsuit against Carnival Cruise Lines has been filed and it is expected to be the beginning of a wave of lawsuits against the ship's owners. " Understand... the cruise line has already stated that they will give full refunds to the passengers. That, beside paying to get everyone back to where they are supposed to be, plus many other reimbursements. But Cassie Terry, 25, of Brazoria County, Texas, filed a lawsuit today in Miami federal court, calling the disabled Triumph cruise ship "a floating hell." "The Plaintiff was forced to endure unbearable and horrendous odors on the filthy and disabled vessel" Horrendous odors... I guess she's never had to live in Mexico City, only spend pleasant time in Acapulco or Cabo. Must be rough when one's silk bed sheets aren't ironed properly... On the other hand, I'd might sue too if my tea weren't served at just the right temperature... And so they will sue. What a world we live in today. Stitchawl |

I think maybe they should be sent to live in developing countries for a while. It might help them appreciate what they have more

I saw pictures of sewage coming up and out of the drains in the bathrooms, soaking the floors and hallways along with some pictures of it running down the walls. At least most were able to have red bags to use and put outside so the waste could be taken away. Not exactly what they expected when taking a cruise, but I agree there are worse things in life and others that have it worse. My favorite was those that no longer were internet connected and had to actually interact with others or family members. They were surprised that they actually enjoyed it once they got use to it.
A lot did come off the ship saying how much they now appreciate what they have and have always taken for granted. |

It will be interesting to see what lawyers do, as there really is a lot of fine print in the cruise tickets about what they are not responsible / liable for and / or even a set amount for certain situations. Kind of like home / car policies. Geesh, they are being offered a refund, a second similar cruise for free, $500 cash, and the hotel/food/transportation back to their starting point. If anything, the lawyers will be the ones to make money.

The ship is under Bahamian registry - so it can't be sued in a US court -
All cruise ships are under foreign registry - to evade taxes & minimum wage & safety regs .... good luck on suing them ... |
