Viewer crashes on openSUSE Tumbleweed
Every time I try to open a book in the reader it crashes.
"calibre, version 5.39.1 ERROR: Render process crashed: The Qt WebEngine Render process has crashed. You should try restarting the viewer." I'm using the official installer from https://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux. Any ideas? |

glibc on your system is broken. Disable sandboxing for qt webengine and you will be fine. Or use the calibre 6 betas from https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=344064 which are based on qt 6 and have the fix for glibc in them.

I'm running calibre with QTWEBENGINE_DISABLE_SANDBOX=1 set and the viewer works fine now.
Thanks! Am I to understand that calibre 6 will have a fix for this problem? |
