This issue includes "The Forty-Seven Ronin", the famous Japanese story (and a true story!) as by Bertram Mitford (Lord Redesdale, grandfather of the famous Mitford Sisters), who was resident in Japan for a number of years with the British Legation. There's another Christmas Ghost story by Dickens; Jeffrey Farnol, king of historical romance, tackles a modern-day story; two antique science fiction stories one by the unknown J Aton, the other by the only slightly less unknown Mearle Prout; and sundry others.
