I want to read a bunch of these. They'll all end up on Kindle Unlimited so that's great. I think I'll get Go for keepsies though.

I lose that thread all the time; it doesn't seem to be as popular as this Kindle one and gets lost in all the other deals threads It would be nice if they were both stickied. |

I went with White Rose Black Forest, the WW2 book. I am also going to read Silent Scream, I'll buy that one too.

I reward Amazon with a continuing subscription to KU, and an outright purchase of a book 4-5 times a year. Which I guess is the whole point of the thing! |

Is it just me, or did the price go up if you wanted to buy the other books? I could have sworn that if you wanted to get more than one book on the list, it was $5 each after the first one, but it is now $9.99.

The books also come in hardback for $9.99. When you tap on the book cover it takes you to that format instead of the Kindle version.

Yeah, Amazon seems to be pushing the hardback format over the ebooks ever since the change that added hardbacks. Maybe they make more money on the physical books.

Here is an example (relatively old post from last year) of Amazon going to the author instead of the author looking for a publisher. Thomas & Mercer, same publisher as Bone Music (my pick for the month). https://blog.reedsy.com/amazon-book-deal/ |

Hrm. I wonder, sometimes.
Amazon still puts emphasis on physical CDs on the music side, as well. |

I rip the CDs to digital FLAC format & put the album into its own directory. Then, having mulitple versions of classical music by different performers, separate folders for each album is preferable as access is much easier. Same with jazz or other albums since it is getting so that album titles may be the same like book titles. Digital music from Amazon is mostly mp4 format compressed 256 kbps. A major problem with digital video is that one cannot access the video like a physical media; e.g. different episodes or subtitles. Have seen any video ripping that allows interactive selections by the user on TV without going thru a computer for viewing an iso file. |
