0.7.15 - Installer corrupt

One more version and Many more great features. I was so eager to try new cool feature of copying books from one library to other that I tried downloading 0.7.15 however even after downloading 2-3 times, it says installer is corrupt.

Anyone else tried new version.

Anyway Thanx to Kovid and team, they are doing great....

The first time, I tried upgrading from within calibre, and after the restart, the splash screen would show, but nothing else. A look at Task Manager would assure me the program was running, but nothing was visible. Not even the icon on the system tray. After ending the process, I uninstalled calibre, restarted, reinstalled 7.15, restarted, and all is well.

I installed the new version without a hitch. You can always download from sourceforge and try again. If that doesn't work, uninstall, reboot and try again.

The last few versions, the download would get stalled and I would have to interrupt it and try again, occasionally two or more times. Tonight, I started the download and went off to tend to something else (I always download and save). When I tried to run the file, it wouldn't work so I dumped it and downloaded again. After a couple of stalls and restarts, I got the file downloaded. This one worked just fine. I've been attributing the download problems to high traffic. Mayhap not? Whatever. All is fine now.

If you had an incomplete download the first time, you'll just be reloading it from your browser's cache when you do another download, so it's always going to be corrupt. You need to get rid of the file from the cache, and then re-download it.

I did not see any progress on the progress bar.. TheN it was just done.

This version (XP) seems to start about 50% faster that the previous 2 versions

The MAC dmg file failed the first time but worked the second time. As my internet and telephone were playing up yesterday I assumed it was a legacy of that since it is now working.
