I didn't visit the Home Page (I rarely do) but still saw the notifications, which were almost everywhere I visited, near the top of the page. Not sure how anyone could have missed them, as they are quite intrusive (in a good way).

This. I still see the notification up there. I rarely go to Home Page and have Forums bookmarked as well.

Then started reading what I could win. Mmmmm Not to literate with this stuff but think I want my next tablet/ereader to be open. I like my NT but don't like having to buy only from B&N.

I never read the front page, nor do I subscribe to anything from this board. I also don't do Facebook or Twitter.

But, I did know about the contest. I saw the thread last week when it popped up on the Forums home page as the Last Post for the Announcements forum.
