Шэь getting an error that "Kindle Comic Converter" is damaged and I have the only option to move it to trash
WHat can I do in such case?

Same problem here.

I'd also like to know : KCC seems to be unable to process several subfolders when their jpg are named the same way (ie IMG_001.jpg, IMG_002.jpg), is there a way to automatically rename them when creating the unique EPUB file?

Im not aware about any problems with file names. Please provide sample file with structure that don't work correctly and used configuration options - send me PM.

I just noticed that in Kindle Comic Converter 5.3.1 the "Spread splitter" isn't working correctly; there are 3 options:

- Unchecked - Split
- Indeterminate - Rotate & Split
- Checked - Rotate

I have this set to 'Indeterminate' together with Manga Mode & Stretch/Upscale. Device is Kobo Aura ONE and format is EPUB.

With these settings the spread pages are rotated only.

  • Reimplemented high quality Panel View option
  • Improved webtoon splitter
  • Fixed page splitter
Few additional words about new/old HQ mode:

This mode will increase quality of Panel View if source image resolution is bigger than target device resolution. But it can also introduce a small blur of page when it is not zoomed in.

It is intended for Kindle e-readers with 167 ppi and 212 ppi screen.

It will not provide quality increase on newer models with 300 ppi screen (Paperwhite 3, Voyage, Oasis) unless source file resolution is unusually high - around 1600x2100.

Sadly new manga features added in 5.8.9 are also limited to manga in KFX format. There is still no way to create fixed layout KFX by yourself.
