universal e-ink screen that works with any smart phone?
hi,
not that i have the resources to make this happen, but i have an idea for a "dual-screen" device that would allow the use of an e-ink screen along with any phone. one problem with today's existing dual screen devices is that you have to have a specific phone or you have to buy a completely new phone to have a second screen. with this, the screen would be completely detached and standalone. an app or a background process would run to do the mirroring and the connection would be something similar to google cast tech, with the added ability for the e-ink screen to be also used as the controlling device, not just the phone as with current google cast tech. what do you think? so it's basically an e-ink monitor with improved google cast tech. google...please make this happen. |

Currently (Oct - Dec 2016) selling for as little as $120. I know you wanted something independent of phone, but for $120 you could barely get the stand-alone display and it wouldn't be as nicely integrated into the phone system as this. http://the-digital-reader.com/2016/1...ancial-crisis/ And the 120Euro YotaPhone I mentioned in my first post will erode their customer base even further. By the way, consider buying YotaPhone while you can. I am very happy I purchased one. |
