Sadly they have only the model without front light up for pre-order.

It's not true. In Europe, you have a tax, called "VAT" here, when you buy something, for this type of product roughly 20 %. If your are outside of Europe and you buy from http://ereader-store.de, you don't pay the tax, the price is 349 €. But your country can impose some tax, when the product arrive in your country a tax could by applied. So there are NO INDIRECT TAXES and not IMPORT DUTIES in Thailand for something coming from China to Thailand and that is the reason why in Thailand is 20% cheaper for Thailand citizens. Sorry but I do not understand your reasons.

I have said that in Thai is 349 for Thai citizens Thailand tax included if any (it is the final price as far as I understood and there are no additional taxes) and in Europe (in booxtor store to be specific) 415 with the 20% of overprice. Did I forgot anything?

By the way you do not need to explain me the indirect tax in Europe, because I am from Spain and here the indirect tax is 21%.

If you want to know the right reason of the overprice (which is evident) you should ask to the seller who sells this in Europe. I have a Onyx M90 bought in artatech and when ereader-store came I was very glad to see a competitor selling this ebook. But now artatech has gone and ereader-store can sells this ebook at whatever price they want, there is not another way to buy this ebook in europe as far as I know. If there is any other place tell me please, I want yo know it.

But without the tax, the price of Booxtor's shop is the 349 €, like in Thailand. The benefits for both vendor seems for me the same. Maybe, I miss something and I appreciate any explication.

And I do not know the reason, it can be greater import duties in Europe, or greater profit of the seller here in Europe or that in Thailand they get a lower price because they buy more units from the manufacturer.

Anyway if you know another place where to buy two units of N96ML, I will apreciate the information. I was thinking on spending 390 euro in each unit.

No professional relationship with Booxtor or ereader-store.de. And no personal relathionship.

But the questions about the difference between European prices and no European prices was already asked for old models. Some people outside Europe have made the error to look at the European prices with the VAT. After you have the cost of shipping ...

I'm only interested in understand the prices and choose a good vendor. To be more precise, we have discussed about the local tax, but not about the tax for importation applied to the vendor. Thailand and Germany (or Europe) have this type of tax.There is the question of the rate change between euro and dollar, same thing for the Thailand.
Maybe an other reason in the difference between the prices.

I think that the subject is difficult.

I'm following you in your research for the best price ;-)

Just a little warning, but I'm not sure that is still true.

You could find here some very old posts (maybe older than two years), about the vendors and the prices. Some vendors doesn't sell the same thing even if the name was the same or near. There was some differences between the models for the hardware or/and the software. You can observe this situation in the Russian market.

It's probably because Onyx makes some special devices when someone ask for 1 000 pieces or more.

You are right, it could be more simple to stay in the European market when there is a problem and take care how to use the warranty. Your experience with your GPS is bad

I'm interested in to see the catalogue (and the prices

) of others vendors.
