Fragment identifier is not defined
Hi Guys, can you explain to me how to fix these two validator errors?
Error while parsing file: element "font" not allowed anywhere; expected the element end-tag, text or element "a", "abbr", "acronym", "address", "applet", "b", "bdo", "big", "blockquote", "br", "cite", "code", "del", "dfn", "div", "dl", "em", "h1", "h2", "h3", "h4", "h5", "h6", "hr", "i", "iframe", "img", "ins", "kbd", "map", "noscript", "ns:svg", "object", "ol", "p", "pre", "q", "samp", "script", "small", "span", "strong", "sub", "sup", "table", "tt", "ul" or "var" (with xmlns:ns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg") Fragment identifier is not defined. |

Simply the <font> tag is not allowed in EPUB files.

The first says you can not use a "font" tag in xhtml. Use css instead.
The second says you have a url that ends in a fragment identifier that is not set anyplace in the file by ad id attribute. In other words look for a url that ends with #NAME where no tag in the target file has the id="NAME". NAME can be almost any short string. You really should at least try to read up on html and css and use google to search for your answers and not just ask here, as your questions have nothing to do with Sigil specifically. Perhaps the more generic EPUB forum here at mobileread might be a better place after trying to search to find the answer yourself. |

These are all epubcheck errors, right?
I don't mind helping out occassionally, but posting every error you get from epubcheck in the Sigil forum is going to get a bit old after a while. Sigil itself is not in the validation game. These errors are between an epub and Epubcheck. That you're using Sigil to run epubcheck is of little consequence. Consider posting your questions about epubcheck errors/warnings in the epub forum in the future. |

I understand, thanks for the directions, I did a bit of research and tests and finally managed to solve it by redoing the toc and adding a link in the .opf file.
Thanks |
