Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/ePub) Woman's Guide to Overcoming Depression [Xtian Advice]
A Woman's Guide to Overcoming Depression by Archibald D. Hart Ph.D. & Catherine Hart Weber Ph.D., who are a licensed psychologist and a licensed family/marriage therapist, respectively, is their mental health issues self-help advice guide, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.
I did a quick skim inside this one, and this seems almost completely non-"inspirational", with lots of very standard-looking non-faith-involving practical advice and only a few heartening scriptural quotes to head the chapters, so perhaps more secular Gentle Readers who are coping with such issues could also benefit from some of their tips. Currently free, probably just for one day @ B&N (may also drop in the UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians), and ChristianBook (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide). Description "I seem to cry over nothing these days." "Why am I having such a hard time making simple decisions?" "Lately, it's difficult just getting out of bed." "I'm so irritable; what's wrong with me?" Nearly every woman, at some time during her life, will experience the crippling effects of depression. But these debilitating emotions can be managed and sometimes even conquered. A Woman's Guide to Overcoming Depression offers you encouragement and hope. The authors are experienced therapists who encourage a holistic approach of counseling, health care, spirituality, and medication when necessary. This inspirational resource will help you • examine the symptoms of depression, • understand its causes, • learn about remedies to heal the whole body, and • walk the path to recovery. Discover a proactive approach to growing through or living with depression and how you can redeem it as an opportunity for learning and growth. Last edited by ATDrake; 02-25-2015 at 06:59 PM.
