I have explained why not. I want to send it through email, like I've always done, so there's a back up on "my documents" on my amazon account. I don't always purchase from amazon but I want all my books in one place, converting to mobi and sending to email was always the most easiest way to do so until this document. I thank you both for that suggestion though.
I've narrowed the problem down to the actual converting to mobi. Could any of you figure out why that would be an issue with this book and not before? And if the azw3 has a set layout, how to work around that so it converts properly? |

If the conversion fails, do as HarryT and pdurrant have suggested. If you do not wish to listen to them, then might I suggest reading a different book. |

I don't like you're tone though. I'd suggest reading my comment again. I've explained why I prefer to have it send through email and not through cable. That why I've asked for help with the actual converting. I appreciate you're suggestion but as you might understand I was hoping someone here could help me with my question. All other suggestions i've been given I've tried, so I'm gratefull for that. I'll leave it as it and keep on looking for a solution to my problem. |

I've tried to transfer the azw3 file after the drm was removed, that worked. Then I tried converting to mobi again (that didn't work) wich lead me to assume the problem lies with converting this document. Anyhow thanks for you're help. I'll keep on trying |

Ok, so we've established that the DRM-free AZW3 version displays correctly, but the Mobi version doesn't. Is that right? If so, try converting the AZW3 version to ePub, and then convert the ePub to Mobi.

You've got a DRM free KF8 version, why do you want a Mobi version?

yes that's correct Harry. I've converted the azw3file to epub, am trying to convert the epub to azw3 but calibre appears to have issues with that. It takes a very long time to convert it

Don't worry about that. Long conversion times are nothing to be concerned about. Just let it run - it will finish eventually.

Makes me wonder if the book the OP is trying to convert is fixed format which would certainly be messed up when converted to Mobi.

If your goal is simply to get it in your Cloud library, you should be able to do that by converting it to a "dual Mobi" - i.e. a file containing both Mobi7 and KF8 versions of the book. That way you'll still get the KF8 version downloaded to your Kindle.
