PDF reader for Surface Duo

I'm wondering if anyone has found an app for android that takes into account the screen gap on the surface duo? Trying to read a PDF across both screens by default results in some of the text being cropped out as android "accounts" for the gap. Supposedly app developers can change how this is handled if they prefer, but none have (including the Kindle app).
