How do I convert azw3 to epub or at leat mobi than can be supported on iOS kindle?

Depending on your OS you should at least UPDATE Calibre:
1.48 if on XP
Latest on Vista >= W8

There is a permissions problem

what's an iOS kindle ?- kindle tablets are android -

azw, mobi.... should work on all kindle for xxx apps though, assuming no DRM issues.
AFAIK, amazon send the same file(s) to whatever device(s) you have registered

I didn't know the iOS Kindle app had a problem with AZW3 files.

i suspect it doesn't. one of the previous replies(#2) points out a folder permissions problem affecting his conversions, as shown in the initial spoiler.

but there's been no feedback from the OP on that.

The iOS Kindle App doesn't support AZW3, or at least it didn't a few months ago when I last used it.
