Also, please do not trust random user patches unless they're github tickets with the tag "user patch available".

The best way to write your own patches is to read the source and understand specific parts of its behaviour to be able to change what you want to change.

In this case there're already a few places where we set a viewport in android devices: https://github.com/koreader/koreader...oid/device.lua

Use them as an inspiration.

The previous version was working perfectly. Anything I can do? I'm wary of uninstalling as I want to retain my settings.

I'm suddenly getting "Something went wrong..." when trying to sync progress. WiFi is on. Is server down or do I have problems with my installation?

Stupid question: how do I send KOReader to the background? Must I exit everytime I want to use my phone for other tasks?

The app works in fullscreen but you should be able to swipe from top/bottom edges to display status bar and virtual buttons.

The swipe from top clashes a bit with KOReader default settings of invoking top menu. You can setup that to "tap only" in case you use the swipe gesture a lot to see your device notifications.
