I have released version 2.1.4.

This version has some improvements such as using the system temp dir by default instead of a folder in the current directory, and update notifications.

The update notifications will show the release notes since your current version. The current version is derived from the github releases api, and is cached for 30 minutes.

I will be adding support for more formats later. I will most likely be able to extend it to support audiobooks.

I have released a new version. It now has PDF support, and better styling. Also, it will show a link to make it easier to access the server.

I have released a new version. It now has a really powerful list view with advanced search. It lets you filter by any field, and see all the information about a book right from the search.

Please try it out and give me some feedback.

I have win 10 64. Previously tried BB 2.1.4 and worked perfectly in my Books folder which contains many folders, each folder a title.

Downloaded 2.3.. works in my Downloads folder only pulling book files NOT within a folder.

If I run it in my Book folder.. the CMD window would run and close out quickly. Local host tab would then be blank (site can't be reached.)

I ran BB from CMD line so I could see what it was saying. It got to 35% indexing and gave error :

Would it be possible to post the last 30 lines of the log for me to look at? Also pm me the last book it says it is indexing before it panics.

I got your PM. I think I know how I can fix it, but I will not be able to get around just yet. For now, you could move the problematic book away, and it should work with your other books. There seems to be a problem extracting the cover of one of your books. Thank for reporting the issue!

I have released v2.3.1, which includes a workaround for the issue. If you still have problems, I will need a copy of the problematic book file (the last one which it says it is indexing before it panicked) to figure out more about the issue. Please tell me if it worked!

Yes, it works!

It skips the problem book and continues on.

I have a PDF book that I updated metadata with Caibre but the cover and description don't show. The converted copy (pdf to epub) does show cover and description.

As for the PDF cover and metadata, I am still working on it. There are currently no libraries written for it in Go, so I need to write my own parser for PDFs, which will take some time.

I would think ghostscript or xpdf would be good sources to help with that effort.
