creating the ebook environment in Asia
Actually, I'm consulting now for a company in Taiwan to provide both a Reader and the Service in Taiwan, HK, Macao, and China. We already have a product in these regions which consist of an ebook application, what we have to do is come out with a full service. Our market shares in the regions (current product ) are, Taiwan (50%), HK+Macao (60%), China (15%). So marketing the service wouldn't be a big issue. I've already talked to major local publishers and the results are favorable. Now the big issue here is... how to locate and decide on a good browser (or reader software + editor) which supports the basis ePUB and XML format. It's a tough job, but worth it. Looking for support anywhere available from the market
