Author category: feature request!

Unfortunately I'm unable to code in python - so I humbly want to suggest a new feature that I guess could be very interesting.

Say you click in the Authors category in the left panel, and select one of them. Immediately calibre will show you just that author's books.
BUT, in the lower panel, nothing will change: it keeps on showing your last selected book details.

Wouldnt it be wonderful if - instead - calibre could use it to:
a) show the content of a user generated file linked to that author (I often write bibliography.txt files for authors I read often),
and/or:
b) connect to the Wikipedia page of that author!

I guess such a feature would be very beautiful...

In a way it would be nice if it just unselected the last book.
No big deal as I seldom use the tag browser as the authors hop around so much on my small laptop display, but I am often confused by seeing a book by a different author when I click on an author.
