Wabbit Season
So here's the latest short story I'm working on. Inspired by this thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41562 and the images that popped into my mind (yes I'm strange that way ).

Here's a teaser:

‘Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season!’

An army on the march.

Raised on all that was left of the culture that came before them. Weaned on the last four minutes of a culture gone up in a cartoon poof of smoke. Loyal to a duck-god and his teachings. Despisers of the rabbit-god and all he stood for.

‘Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season!’

My mind's eye view:

A huge black and white duck statue (ie., daffy 4u) surrounded by a torch-carrying mob raising and lowering their torches as they chant.....

No, wait, it's changed to a statue being carried on a platform while the mob in front and behind it raise and lower their torches as they chant, "Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season! Wabbit Season!"..

More, more, we want more
