TOC styling

Is it possible to stylize the TOC? On my Kindle, it's justified and it looks terrible. I would like to at least make it left aligned. It would also be good if there was a little space between links, because it's not clear where the beginning and end of the link is.

NCX type TOC can not be styled

Inline ones can, but it is up to you to hand edit the stylesheet.

Note: Theses will not survive conversion to Mobi (old)
