Dark Child: The Awakening (Omnibus Edition) by New South Wales-born author Adina West (ISFDB) is the 1st in her Dark Child paranormal urban fantasy with romantic elements series starring a pathology technician discovering increasingly disturbing cravings, the strange heritage of her hidden past, and a possibly-heroic destined future, possibly with a destined mate (basically almost every current paranormal urban fantasy protagonist ever, really), originally released as a serialized novel and now collected in one volume, free courtesy of publisher Pan Macmillan Australia's Momentum imprint.

There's no indication on the official Momentum website blog how long this freebie will last, but since it's apparently to coincide with the release of the collected 2nd serial, it probably has a limited shelf-life like Momentum's other recent SF/Fantasy promos.
