calibre isn't detecting new nook simple touch with glow light
Kovid, you are my idol! You are a rock star god!

I just got the new nook simple touch with glow light, and calibre doesn't recognize it (yet!), so I am forced to use Adobe Digital Editions (gag!) Let me know if I'm doing something wrong, and thank you so much for such an awesome gadget as calibre!!!

I tried that, but it still didn't work. I am not that computer-savy, so it has to be easy. I couldn't find the place where the debug program is (preferences> miscellaneous... couldn't find...)

When you click on the calibre Preferences icon (the gears) down at the bottom of the displayed page is a section labeled Advanced. The third option there is Miscellaneous.

Clicking on that displays a screen that has a large button titled "Debug Device Detection". Click that and copy the resulting output to the clipboard and then paste it into a message.

According to that debug output your nook is being detected. Look for the device icon on the calibre toolbar.

Are you using a 'charging (only) cable' or plugged into a USB HUB (which also, does not show)

Cool My Nook wont connect to CALIBRE
I'm also having issues my NOOK HD wont connect to calibre...
i had to uninstall the new verison to downgrade see if it will connect but both version dont work... please help
