Post Studying Mandarin with ereaders

I'm learning Mandarin and I was wondering if any one else had used their ereader to help.

I use Anki on my iPhone, but honestly my character recognition is pretty good so that I just stopped using the flashcard system. Its not really all that useful to me anymore. So now I'm looking at more intensive supplements (to my classes and textbooks).

I like to read, so easy books in Mandarin/English would be awesome.
Stuff to help with learning sentence patterns, vocab usage, and such like that.
I just downloaded the Chinese/English Kindle dictionary
I read Traditional, btw.

Anyone got tips?

I am using my iPad for all my learning and reading needs, but my character recognition is still pretty poor.

I tend to convert my documents/books into txt format and then load them into Pleco and read within that app as I then get instant look up with what is probably the best Chinese dictionary.

I have also found Hanzi reader quite useful.

However, my reading ability is very basic.

You can try asking (or using the sources) on this thread.

Books for children can be a good learning source. The topics are not always interesting but you can get used to reading this way and learn some daily vocabulary that you wouldn't otherwise.

Amazon.cn is selling e-books for children. I haven't tried it so I don't know if you can buy them from abroad.

Also, on android and IOS there are many books for children available.
