Ended Kobo Glo with damaged USB port

Looking for a home for a much loved Glo that will still charge via USB but will not connect to a computer. All attempts to connect result in an invalid USB device message from Windows. The unit has had it's rear cover removed when I tried installing a new micro SD card and installing a new image courtesy of Davidfor's "Images R Us" ™ service.

Will include the original USB cable (or at least the cable that came with the Glo I bought from Kijiji).

I've been able to load new content from either the Kobo store via WiFi or from the calibre content server.

Screen is great shape.

Asking $CDN 25 plus shipping from Canada.

Is this Glo still available? What colour is it please, and aside from the USB port what is the general condition of the unit?

The unit is black and I'd say in good to very good condition. I'll take some pictures tomorrow in the daylight and post them (taking into account the sizing limits).

Charges quite happily, and WiFi works like a charm.

Going to pass... Had a think about it - if we can't fix the USB, I am a devout Calibre desktop user when it comes to my books, so wouldn't be able to transfer my books on.

A silly question, but would I be able to sideload onto a microSD using another ereader and then stick the card into the glo and have it read that way?
(Very interested if this is the case.)
