People give Karma for different reasons.....I like to give it when someone says something I especially agree with, or when they've simply made me smile.......I believe Karma was designed to reward those who uploaded books.....but it has become so much more. Thanks for taking part, and enjoy. |

I'll happily give Kovid karma, even if I can't use the 0.6 version on my computer (for some obscure reason). The earlier version is still happily in use and has converted many, many books for me!

I just started using Calibre -- I recently acquired an iPod Touch and decided it was time to organize my mess of ebooks in all kinds of wacky formats into a nice set of ePub volumes that I could load into Stanza. What a great program!
I just sent in my donation. |

I am not using Calibre. At all. I use BD. However, I suggested it to all new Sony Reader converts in real life. Because I believe it is an excellent tool unless you are control freak like me. Also it amazes me how somebody can spend so much of their personal time for free for people they don't know at all.

I use a lot of free software, for personal and work purposes. Each time one piece of free soft makes my life easier, I feel deeply grateful for whoever wrote that program. I hope some day I can contribute with something. |

Only PDF I'm afraid The quantum is referring to quantum mechanics. i.e. a computer driven by the laws of quantum rather than classical physics. Turns out to be significantly more powerful. For example, using a classical computer to search through a collection of N unsorted entries, will take, on average N/2 queries, whereas with a quantum computer it can be done in the square root of N. For very large N this can be a huge speedup.
