I got Snow Gypsy and Rock Needs Rivers which are the first books I've bought being a prime member.

Being a prime member from 2007 I hate to think how many books I could've been buying all these years which I would've probably never read.

Since they changed it (last year?) all first reads end up on KU. Only because they are on KU doesn't mean you cannot still purchase them without having Prime or KU.

While there have been many fairy-tale mash-ups published over the years, I can tell you that none are quite like It’s Not Hansel and Gretel. No, this is not your mama’s “Hansel and Gretel.”

When I first read the story, I was immediately drawn in by the playful dynamic between the narrator and our two heroes, Gretel and Hansel, who keep interrupting and refusing to do what they’re told. The characters in this book truly burst to life off the pages. Hansel is a bit of a crybaby, while Gretel is ready to take charge. The narrator just wants the kids to listen and play along. And both kids are quite inventive when they get the opportunity to tell the story on their own. Did I mention that there’s a unicorn in this book? As it turns out, our narrator was wrong about a few things. With hilarious dialogue and just enough reference to the original story, this book makes a fun read-aloud for the whole family (silly voices optional!). — Marilyn Brigham, Editor

Remembered to check today, and it went very quickly. The book's not compatible with the Paperwhite, and can't even be downloaded. The Kindle app on my phone lets me download and view it, but it forces landscape mode and displays two pages side-by-side. Not exactly an optimal reading experience, although the images looked great, only small. Kindle for PC also did the side-by-side thing, but it worked fine full-screened. It was quite funny and I'm glad I picked it, even if it is really short.

Any tablet using the Kindle app can probably view it and it'll look fine, but I'm guessing all the e-ink Kindles are out of luck.
