Managing tags

Is there a way to export the manage tags to a csv file after "managing" them?

A csv file that could indicate the tag, then the changes, and whether or not it has been deleted? This would be very helpful in importing to Calibre Spy or other libraries.

Use this calibredb sub command ==>> list_categories

However, as I have explained elsewhere, and not for the first time, you can't import tags independently, they MUST be attached to a book - i.e. a line in the book list.

@BetterRed,

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I wasn't trying to import tags, and I find it easier to get those columns from the database file using sq browser. I was hoping to locate a record of the changes made using the manage authors/tags. There is no way of tracking the changes. If there is someplace in the database file or in the library .json or somewhere in the Roaming folder I would appreciate knowing.

What about DaltonST's Audit Trail plugin, have you looked at that?

Have you considered using a file synch utility that maintains revision history? Or adding triggers to the database to maintain an audit trail of adds, changes and deletes to specific tables (google sqllite audit trail)?

Saw this on another 'similar' topic.. try using DB Browser (SQLite)
OPEN Database, find your folder select .db file. Once it loads go to File/ Export File as CSV
