You folks need to check out Cartoon Network, specifically The Powerpuff Girls. Also Animaniacs. And Space Ghost. Cartoon wackiness is not dead; it has become more subversive.

Adult Swim has evolved from ridiculous stoner humour assembled from defunct old 'toons to some amazingly intelligent & high-larious shows. Wish that I had a Tivo dealie so I need not stay up so late to enjoy the whack(i)ness. This Eastern Standard Tribe is killing me.

Agreed on Adult Swim. But that's content written entirely for an older audience. The cool thing about The Powerpuff Girls and Animaniacs is that they're marketed towards kids (based on time slot and ads) but they have the kind of clever, subversive content we fondly remember from Bugs Bunny, etc. (In fact, that was the stated purpose of the creator of The Powerpuff Girls. This was a guy who based one of his main villains on the Blue Meanies from the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, after all.)

I love PPG! My favorite character is Mojo Jojo -- every time I see an episode with him in it, I talk like him for several days! That manic-redundant, semi-third person speaking style of his is hysterical to me.

I wish they'd put out a collection of all his episodes, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Well, as we all learned from School House Rock, 6 X 9 is really 6 X 10 - 6 = 54. And there's a SHRock website with all of the great songs somewhere, but I lost the link in the Great Computer Crash of 8/08. Google it for your own lazy selves. --Sorry, my inner byotch broke loose for a minute there when I remembered the Great Computer Crash of 8/08. Inner B has used a lot of words over the past 2 wks that she previously thought were too crude. Turns out, they wreen't crude enough while dealing with the GCC 8/08!
