VIZ Media Graphic Novels Now Available at Kobo

Quote:
Kobo and Viz Media have signed a new deal that will bring 60 different series that includes over 500 editions. NARUTO, BLEACH, VAMPIRE KNIGHT and BLUE EXORICIST are among some of popular titles that will be available through this launch. Readers can use the Kobo Arc, a tablet device that is ideal for reading in full colour and or one of their many dedicated e-Readers, such as the Kobo Aura HD. Books can also be accessed using the official Kobo app for Android or iOS.

It's not the full VIZ library collection. It's still missing popular titles like from Rumiko Takahashi titles.

The only popular titles they have there are One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Detective Conan (under the excreable "Case Closed" title with Americanized names).

Still, at least the prices are reasonable ($4.99 for most volumes - a few, mainly short series with only enough for a single volume, are $9.99) and it looks like you can download them to Kobo's e-ink devices (though I wouldn't want to try and read 'em on a Mini; dunno if there's versions you can download to *any* ereader, though).

Might pick up "Sandland", personally. It's a good story and the only Akira Toriyama property they have in there. (no Dragon Ball or Dr. Slump

Does someone succeed to remove DRM from Kobo mangas ?
It can only be read on a kobo device or through Kobo desktop : no ADE link and Calibre doesn't want to import form Kobo ereader to the library, saying it's a "virtual" book...

The book can be found on the reader in .kobo/kepub without any extension, but after test seems to be a .epub : wile adding the epub extension, Calibre accept it and show the right name, number of page but can read it (the same with Sony reader software). So it's seems to be a standard epub with DRM... But how can I remove this DRM ? I only know the ADE solution, but in this case, I can not download the ACSM (no download possibility from Kobo...)

any idea ? Thanks
