Any e-readers or e-ink tablets announced at CES 2022?
I saw a few headlines about the color changing E-ink concept car BMW showed off, but absolutely nothing about any new e-readers or e-ink tablets.
Anybody read/hear about any new devices unveiled at CES 2022 at all? |

TCL did announce their NxtPaper 10S which is a reflective LCD display device. The problem for me is that TCL has announced several of these devices in the past and none seem to have made it to market.

I don't know what to make of their NXTPAPER technology. Liliputing's article from back in September 2020 says that because the display doesn't use backlighting the colors look muted, much like color e-ink screens. IMO that's a big negative for something that costs $249 and isn't an e-reader. |

"TCL new, full-color NXTPAPER 10S debuts alongside two budget tablets at CES 2022 Elizabeth Tirk By Elizabeth Tirk January 4, 2022 TCL has announced three new affordable tablets at CES 2022 this year. The most intriguing of the trio is the NXTPAPER 10s, followed by the more basic and fairly standard Tab 8 4G and Tab 10L. The 10s is part of the NXTPAPER series, a slowly growing set of tablets with a paper-like notebook display that’s meant to be easy on the eyes and is aimed at those in an educational or work setting. This is a growing category, with devices like the Kobo Elipsa, Sage, and Remarkable 2 all entering the market as combination notebook tablets and e-readers" I am interested. |

Lots of advertising blurb about the Nxtpaper 10s here https://www.tcl.com/uk/en/tablets/tcl-nxtpaper-10s but not a single actual photo of the screen. Having been burnt by the Ectaco Jetbook Color I think I'll reserve judgement on this one.
