PE bluetooth turns off within seconds after turning on
Not sure if anyone has seen this or knows of any fix for a bluetooth issue on the PE. When turned on, it turns right back off. When I used to have a bluetooth file transfer app installed, it used to continually turn off and on until I killed the app.
I have any entry for my phone (paired but not connected), so I think at one time I was able to use the bluetooth, but it's been so long ago it's hard to remember if I did or not. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Thanks for posting - at least I know there may be others and hopefully someone has found a way to fix this or at least knows what the cause is.
I've done so many things to this device, that I can't remember if I installed or tweaked something that would have caused this. You probably don't remember either, but in case you do remember what may have caused this, please post it (maybe others also have the same problem and might be able to confirm what they think did this to them as well). |

Thanks for the info Gunner!
Do you mean if it I turn it on and there isn't anything for it see within about 3-4 seconds, it will just turn off, or it will cycle on and off until it sees something? I will try this out to see if hopefully that fixes me. |

I tried it also and it doesn't work. I even used the device it shows as being paired but not connected and tried to connect for the less than 2 second that it lit up, but it just toggles off and on continuously.

Same thing here, turns off and on... Could this be an Ermine thing?

OK, after much uninstalling and reinstalling I found what was causing the Bluetooth to turn off and on when enabled: Pandora. I uninstalled Pandora and my Bluetooth stays on. Reinstall Pandora, back to the "Turning On... Turning Off...". Anyone know why Pandora might be causing Bluetooth problems?

Well, I'm running Pandora 1.5.12 + Ermine 0.9 rooted and the Bluetooth constantly toggles on and off with Pandora installed (tried it on 3 different PEs). The probelm goes away when I uninstall Pandora. Maybe it has something to do with v1.5.12? Or the Ermine 0.9?? All I'm saying is anyone in this thread that had the same problem, uninstall Pandora and see if that fixes it...

Yes - I have the link2sd hack. I have a second edge and have also applied the hack and bluetooth is working fine, but i do not have Pandora installed. I'll try uninstalling from the first unit to see what it does when i get a chance to, but at least it looks like someone has found what is hopefully the culprit. Thanks for posting that info!
Maybe someone can up Pandora 1.4 (or is that not allowed?)? |

Thanks!
Does anyone happen to know what the newest version of Pandora we can use that doesn't wack out the bluetooth functionality? I'll probably start with 1.4 that ptsenter had no issues with. |
