Hi...A Newbie With Questions
Hi, I just received an Ebook ETI 2 ebook reader which I found on Ebay. It Supposed to " WORKS EXCELLENT!!! COMES WITH NO CHARGER OR MEMORY CARD..UNIT HAS BOOKS ON IT ALREADY ENJOY. THE OUTER GLASS IS CRACKED, BUT IT DOES NOT AFFECT THE UNIT"
Well, for $22.50 (includes Shipping), I thought it was a cheap way to get my feet wet With an Ebook reader that still gets pretty good reviews. Anyway, I was thrown a few curves, NOT the sellers fault: First, I have tons of powers supplies, but none have that tiny, tiny plug end needed for the Ebook ETI 2 on them. Does anybody know where to get a power supply, or just the end...Right know I cant even test it as it is dead. And also, I didn't think that because it has a touch screen, DUH, it would harder to fix than to just cut a piece glass and pop it in, as I thought I could do. Can these be fixed? Any help or leads will be greatly appreciated. |

hi tdogg666, welcome to the forum ! the ETI 2 is frequently called an eBookwise 1150, and we've got a forum here dedicated to that device where you'll find tons of practical info and very friendly and knowledgeable people. i recommend you post your questions directly in that forum, so you're sure they'll be seen by the people who know the answers.
to start you off, i know you can definitely get a replacement charger easily ; if you live in the US, i believe you can easily find a multi-plug charger by coby, take a look here for more info. i hope it works, enjoy it ! i have one (that was my first dedicated reading device) and i still love it, even if it is far too heavy to carry around with me. |

Welcome to MobileRead, tdogg666!
Like Zelda, my first reader was the EBW1150 and I really love it! Once you've got your reader charged and working, take a look at all the free ebooks you can download from here. They're in the correct format to use on your reader. Enjoy and happy reading! |
