*sneak sneak* Hello!
Hello everyone!
I just stumbled onto your forum here and wanted to introduce myself. Looks like a wonderful resource! I'm a technical writer by trade and a fiction writer by preference. I read as much as I can get my hands on (and have time for!). Looking forward to talking with you all. ~Kess / Mel |

*scream!* Sorry, I scare easily
Welcome to MR, Kess. We have quite a few members from *EDIT AZ AU * and NZ around here and some may stop in and say Hi. Do you have a device (Reader) yet? What do you like to read? Have you checked out the Writers' Corner yet? What do you write? Jump in and ask questions or ask for help if you need to. Someone will come along and chime in with an answer. **We are a nosy lot around here.** Just about to push the button and noticed nomesque chime in. May have to check out your blog. Hi Mel, and welcome to MobileRead.
Nice diverse crowd here. I took a quick look at your blog, but I don't have time to read through it all at the moment. Just one question, "Are we there yet?". Wetdogeared. |

Welcome to MobileRead, Mel!
I used to be a technical writer but gave it up to be a MOM! Anyway, I am sure you will have a great time here at MR and find a lot of really interesting information. Happy reading (and writing)! |

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!
Hi Nomesque! Thanks for the plug. Hi Dreams. I don't have a device yet - I'm kinda low-tech when it comes to e-books. Just starting to poke around in those circles. I read lots of different stuff - crime, scifi, fantasy, anything with a good plot and grabbable characters. I write the fictional blog that Nomesque linked (and I'll go talk about that in the Writer's Corner, definitely ), along with a novel and a few other random pursuits. Wetdogeared - Definitely getting close! Still lots to come, though. ~Kess / Mel |

It's ok to be low tech here, there's still a lot to talk about. Pandas, llamas, dogs, cats, ducks ... and books, naturally, always books. Welcome. |

I used to work for a company called Panda Software. Really not as interesting as the tease suggested, I'm afraid. Ain't that always the way? But there was a big stuffed panda involved. A big stuffed Spanish panda (the company's HQ is in Spain). Apparently, the Spanish have a thing about pandas. I'm not sure why - never did unravel that. But then, who doesn't love a big cuddly bearlike thing? ~Kess / Mel |
