My kindle started showing battery invalid issue suddenly. After going through this forum for quite sometime, I've decided to connect it with a serial connector and see.

First thing to do is to try booting it without the USB cable connected.
Capture the serial messages to a file and compress/attach to a post on what happens with that condition.
(You have to use the "advanced" editor to attach files (use the "go advanced" button below the text box)).

Is this a 32Gbyte or a 4Gbyte user storage PW3?
What firmware version is installed?

I have tried booting without the USB, it restarts and gets struck at YKNR screen with out any improvement. It is giving us the logs only when i connect it with the serial port.

I think its a 4GB one and I'm not sure about the firmware version but i'm guessing if it is the version number on the YKNR screen, then it is 2911650002.
Does this help ?

Trust me, the log contents will be different than what you posted already.
Just because the screen may show the same display does not have any relationship to changes in the start-up process.

Please follow the directions to provide a capture of the serial port output during a full reboot without the USB cable connected.

It is impossible for anyone to help you if you do not cooperate by supplying the requested information.

Sure. , I ran in to a problem while doing it today. The Serial connector solder pad came off with the wire. Now am not able to find any connectivity with the circuit board .
Any idea on how do i get access to the serial port RX and TX with out those soldered tips. Refer the photo link !!
