Calibre with 2 different users on 1 pc

I am running calibre on an= windows 7 pc and have the following issue

On one user all my plugins and menu items appear. On the other just the basic items show up. Is there an easy way to set up the second with the same menu's and plugins as the first

Copy the contents of the configuration folder over.
Do NOT point to the same Library if there is any possibility of both users being logged on at the same time)

Try this
  1. Logon as the user whose configuration you want to retain - I'll assume it is BigBird
  2. Go to Calibre->Preferences->Miscellaneous and click the Open calibre configuration directory option
  3. Leaving the Windows Explorer window open, terminate Calibre (ctrl/Q)
  4. Copy the Calibre configuration directory which is probably C:\Users\BigBird\AppData\Roaming\calibre to C:\Program Data so that you now have a C:\Program Data\calibre.
  5. Add an environment variable for BigBird named CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY with a value of C:\Program Data\calibre
  6. Start Calibre and repeat 1 to see where the configuration directory is - it should take you to C:\Program Data\calibre - if it doesn't then something is awry.
  7. if the previous check is OK, close Calibre, logon on as the other user and create an identical CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY environment variable
  8. Make sure that changes to preferences etc show up for both users, make sure it still works when you install a new version, once you satisfied it works and is sustainable then delete C:\Users\BigBird\AppData\Roaming\calibre and the similar folders in the other account(s)

The advantage of this approach is that any changes in preferences, addition of new plug-ins etc, will be available for all users without any further ado - I think/hope.
