Dove sono gli ebooks in Italiano?

Ciao a tutti. Sono appena tornato da 2 settimane di vacanza al mare con moglie e figlia di anni 3 e devo dire che mi sono divertito. Sono persino riuscito a leggere un intero racconto lungo, a finire un saggio e a portarmi a pagina 350 di un bel libro di spionaggio.

Preso da tanto fervore letterario riprendo un suggerimento di nrapallo (il grande, per davvero). Dove sono gli ebooks in Italiano? Vediamo se riusciamo a costruire una lista di siti, gratis o a pagamento. Comincio io con

IBS questo il Link tanto per fare un esempio La coscienza di Zeno a meno di 3 Euro. Avrà un 200 libri, ma con molti in arrivo.

Non ero sicuro che il copyright sulle traduzioni avesse una durata "sfasata" rispetto all'originale. Tra l'altro mi sembra anche una cosa tutto sommato discutibile...

non si tratta di una durata sfasata, ma è che a volte un libro si traduce dopo anni dalla sua pubblicazione, quindi quando scadono i diritti dell'originale, rimangono quelli sulla traduzione...

ma, italianreader, scusa la domanda, se sei italiano, perché Svevo non te lo leggi in italiano e non provi a leggere qualche autore inglese, anche semplice (per esempio i racconti per bambini di roald dahl sono molto semplici e divertenti).. oltre tutto, visto che hai il boox come me, ti posso passare un utile dizionario inglese - italiano che migliora molto l'esperienza di leggere in inglese...

Mmm 'spetta chiarisco tutto

La coscienza di zeno ho già avuto il piacere di leggerlo quando ero piuttosto piccolino e di rileggerlo qualche tempo tempo fa. Posseggo la copia stampata (solo formalmente visto che ora l'ho prestata) e anche la versione digitale.

E' un libro che ho sempre trovato molto piacevole e mi avrebbe fatto molto piacere leggerlo in inglese, un po' per vedere cosa arriva ai nostri amici anglofoni, un po' anche ovviamente per migliorare l'inglese.

Per quanto riguarda il tuo consiglio, ovviamente ti ringrazio ma il mio livello non è (spero ) così infimo. Diciamo che leggo correntemente saggi o libri in inglese. Fin'ora l'unico libro con cui ho dovuto gettare la spugna è stato l'Ulisse di Joyce.

Per quanto riguarda il dizionario è già un mio valido alleato. Io abitualmente uso il longman o l'oxford monolingua(tra l'altro compatibili anche con StarDict per il pc)... se proprio dovessi lamentarmi sarebbe perché questi non riportano le pronunce.

Grazie comunque dell'interessamento. Ogni consiglio per migliorare la "reading experience" non può che essere il benvenuto

Come ti capisco. Sono irlandese, parlo inglese ovviamente, ma neppure io ce l'ho fatta ad arrivare nemmeno a metà di Ulysses (e ci ho provato ben 3 volte). Capisco perché piace a tanta gente, ma per me è semplicemente troppo lavoro.

Joyce era un amico di Svevo.
Io invece non riesco a leggere ne Proust ne Dostoevsky. Dostoevsky magari ci riprovo perchè mia moglie lo ammira.

Se vi piace leggere in Italiano potreste provare Carlo Emilio Gadda.

Purtroppo per me è (o, se sono migliorato dall'ultimo tentativo, era) solamente una questione di lingua perché dell'Ulisse ho già avuto il piacere di leggerne dei pezzi in Italiano e l'avevo trovato magnifico.

Di Gadda non ho mai letto altro che poesie per ora. Purtroppo ora dubito che potrò iniziare a leggere qualsiasi cosa, ma da dove consiglieresti di partire per la sua prosa?
