[iOS] CC crashes with lots of books

Is there a limit to the amount of books in CC? I have around 8k books on my iPad and when I connect CC as a wireless device it crashes during the "Get The List of Books on Device" job in calibre and it happens every time, can't sync at all.

Probably hitting a RAM limit. Iirc, the iPad mini 3 only has 1GB of RAM.
