With all of the ePub that I've edited, I've never one wanted to turn off word wrap. IMHO, that would make editing the ePub more difficult.

That's the benefit of making it a toggle switch - I was thinking a menu item in the View menu or somesuch - people who want to use it can toggle it when they want it on... those who find no use for it can just not click on it.
But, all this is moot unless someone wants to submit a pull request. Becky showed that it is a fairly straight forward option.... I think..... It was done so quickly... |

The code to set nowrap in CV is trivial (one liner). The code/time to create a menu item, to create an icon (in 3 sizes) that looks good under both dark and light modes, store the current settings in the sigil.inifile, edit the form ui file, load all 3 sizes of icon, and register the keystrokes to the shortcut manager, etc is what makes it such a pain for so little benefit.

That said ... there is a CV popup context menu that could be used without an icon, just a menu and could launch in the wrap state each time at first to prevent needing a setting ...

Just a heads-up for any potential takers on this project: Sigil's main.ui file currently has to be edited manually (xml in a text/code editor). Any attempt to save the form-file with Qt Designer will result in our QToolButtons (combos for Heading and Case Changing) being silently deleted from the interface. I've never found a good explanation for why this happens, but there it is. So before you submit a pull request, double-check that you didn't edit more than you thought you did RE Sigil's MainWindow interface.

Then no one would be able to switch without knowing the keycode. You would still need a CV popup menu item at the very least.

There is like 100 keyboard shortcuts in preferences menu & 40 is assigned, but I can't read Sigil source, so I really don't know.
